CARLOS PONCE TO PERFORM AT
DODGER STADIUM ON AUGUST 3

In Addition, While The Latin Superstar’s New Single“Sin Pecado Concebido” (Title Theme From The Soap Opera In Which He Stars) Goes To Radio, Carlos Will Once Again Go Before Film Cameras For A Role In A Major Motion Picture

Having just returned from an intensive promotion trip throughout South America (see photo link below) in support of his recently released new album Ponce, multi-platinum Latin singer/songwriter & actor Carlos Ponce is preparing for a big week in Los Angeles. On August 3rd, Carlos will appear as one of the featured headline performers at the “VERANAZO 2002” concert at DODGER STADIUM- sure to be one the biggest Latin concerts of the year.

As one of today’s leading Latin singers (with three #1 singles to his credit), Ponce is no stranger to playing before stadium size crowds. However, having also developed a career as one of the most recognized Latino actors in the world, he is equally at home in the more intimate setting of TV and movie sets. Both of these passions are equally intertwined in Carlos’ upcoming trip to Los Angeles. His performance at Dodger Stadium is in conjunction with the release of the second single from Ponce - “Sin Pecado Concebido”. Although just being serviced to radio, the song is already known the throughout the Hispanic world as the Ponce penned & performed track is the title theme to the widely popular soap opera in which Carlos portrays the starring male lead.

Following his performance at Dodger Stadium, Carlos will quickly shift from one passion to the other, as he once again goes before the cameras – this time to participate in a major motion picture. Joining a cast that includes Eduardo Verastegui, Roselyn Sanchez, Sofia Vergara, Freddy Rodriguez D.L. Hughley, Paul Rodriguez, Maria Conchita Alonso and fellow singers Jaci Velasquez and Joy Enriquez, Carlos will film a special cameo appearance in the Fox 2000 romantic comedy “Papi Chulo”. The film’s executive producer is Forest Whitaker, will be directed by Linda Mendoza - series director for The Chris Rock Show.
