CARLOS PONCE TO RELEASE
THIRD ALBUM IN APRIL 2002

Miami, FL (February 28, 2002) – EMI Latin recording artist Carlos Ponce will be releasing his much-anticipated third album entitled PONCE this April. As a follow-up to the remarkable worldwide success of his last two albums, PONCE, produced by multi-Grammy award winning producer/songwriter Emilio Estefan, Jr. and Joel Someillan, will hit stores nationwide on April 23rd and will include the first single “Mujer con Pantalones,” co-written by Emilio Estefan, Jr. and Nicolas Tovar.

Carlos, a gifted songwriter, co-wrote seven of the 10 songs on the album; among them “Concebido Sin Pecado,” the theme song from the Televisa soap opera “Sin Pecado Concebido.” The soap opera, produced by the highly recognized Jose Alberto Castro, will air on the number one rated Spanish language network, Univision, in the Summer of 2002.

On March 2nd Carlos will be performing his first single on Univision Network’s Sabado Gigante, the number one rated international television program. He will also be showcasing his new material for record label EMI on March 9th at Café Nostalgia.

The video for the first single “Mujer Con Pantalones” will be shot in Miami on March 19th under the direction of Emilio Estefan, Jr.
